Ecommerce
You can put PayPal, Authorize.Net or all sorts of payment gateway "Buy" command buttons under products and prices that you have on your website.
If the user clicks on a "Buy" command button, then they will be directed to payment gateway to pay for the product.
You do not need a large ecommerce platform to do this and many of our customers have done this in the past.
You do not need to care about what whether your server is Linux or Windows with this route, because these payment gateway command buttons
are written in HTML and JavaScript and these languages are web server independent.
Most of the ecommerce platforms that you can download off of the web for free and run your eCommerce store on may require a Linux web server.
While most of the ecommerce platforms / systems on the market are written for LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP), Windows has increasingly improved in regards to how well it runs LAMP web programs. If your LAMP web programs are extremely code intensive like Adobe Commerce or Word Press for example, Windows will probably have some malfunctioning pages that would not have malfunctions if the software was run on a Linux Server like the program was written for instead of a Windows Server.
Our customers have used the following for their eCommerce platforms:
Magento is what we have gotten more requests for than any other ecommerce platform and they changed their name from Magento to
Adobe Commerce. Magento is open source and this means that anyone can have a copy of the source code. Adobe Commerce is written in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP).
X-Cart is user friendly and programmer friendly and some of our customers have used it. X-Cart is written in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP).
Zen Cart is written in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP).
With open source software, the software is free and therefore, we only charge for helping you with open source software and not for the actual software.
In addition to offering full size ecommerce solutions, we also write ecommerce software from scratch for both Windows Servers and Linux Servers in the languages
of ASP.Net, PHP and C# with Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL as the database.
Ecommerce and accounting software integration is available. Ecommerce software is comprised of inventory for displaying and managing your products and accounts receivable for receiving money for your products. Some customers take this accounting integration further by integrating the accounting software that they use with their ecommerce software. We write data bridges to help accomplish this accounting integration.
